Kerala style Mackerel Coconut Curry

Mackeral fish: 1/2 kg
Coconut grated: 1 cup
Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder: 3 teaspoon
Coriander powder: 11/2 teaspoon
Salt: as required
Cambogia/kudampuli: 2 pieces soaked
Fennel seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves: few
Shallots: 6
Coconut oil: 2 table spoon
Green chillies: 4
Tomato: 1
Ginger: 1 small piece
Garlic: 2 cloves

Wash,clean and cut the fish into medium pieces.Now grind the coconut with 3 shallots,fennel seeds with required water into a fine paste.lnto a clay pot,add chopped tomato,green chilly,crushed ginger,salt and the masala powders.mash well with your hands .Add the coconut paste and required water for the curry.Add soaked cambogia also.Then close the pan and cook well until the curry becomes semi thick.Now add the fish pieces and rotate the pot.Don't stir with spoon.Cook again until the fish become very soft.adjust the salt and spices.If it has enough sourness,taken out the cambogia pieces .then  switch off the flame.Lets make the seasoning.Heat a pan and add coconut oil.add finely chopped shallots and garlic.roast well.add curry leaves also.pour this into the curry.close for few minutes.Now the tasty mackeral coconut curry is ready now.It is well going with hot steamed rice and chapathi too.keep trying😍
