Sadya olan

Ash gourd: 1 medium
Red moong beans: 2 table spoon
Thin coconut milk: 1 cup
Thick coconut milk: 1/2 cup
Green chillies: 5
Shallots: 3
Curry leaves: few
Salt: to taste
Sugar: 1 pinch
Coconut oil: 1 teaspoon

Cut the Ash gourd into small pieces.wash and clean it.lnto a pan,add Ash gourd pieces,chillies,crushed shallots,thin coconut milk,salt and some curry leaves.cook well until the water gets absorbed.cook it in low flame and stir occassionally.Meanwhile cook the red moong beans in a pressure cooker.After that,add it to the cooked Ash gourd pieces.Now add the thick coconut milk and sugar.mix well.Dont let it to boil, otherwise the coconut milk will separates.Atlast sprinkle some coconut oil and curry leaves.switchoff the flame.close the pan and wait for 10 minutes.Now the tasty sadya olan is ready to serve.It is one of the important sadya dishes in Kerala.Try this and leave your comments😍
