Tender Jackfruit stir fry

Jack fruit(tender): 1
Red chillies: 10
Shallots: 15
Garlic cloves: 6
Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut oil: 2+1 table spoon
Mustard seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves: few
Salt: as required


  1. Firstly remove the outer skin of Jackfruit.
  2. cut it into small pieces.remove the gum like substance inside of it.wash and clean thoroughly.
  3. Then pressure cook it by adding turmeric powder,1 table spoon coconut oil,salt and required water.
  4. After 2 whistles switch off the flame.Then allow to settle down the pressure.Now mash it with a fork or masher.
  5. Now heat a kadai and add coconut oil.splutter mustard seeds.Then add curry leaves, crushed red chillies,shallots and garlic.sort well until the raw smell goes.
  6. N ow add the cooked Jack fruit and mix well.Adjust the salt.
  7. If you have a banana leaf  place it over the Jack fruit and close the lid.Banana leaf gives a nice Aroma and flavour to the fish.c ook in very low flame for 10 minutes.stir well occassionly.
  8. Now open the lid and remove the banana leaf.sprinkle some coconut oil and mix well.
  9. Now the tasty and simple Jack fruit stir fry is ready to serve now.Try this and enjoyπŸ˜˜πŸ‘Œ
