Hyderabadi chicken biriyani

Basmati rice. :2 cups
Chicken pieces. :1 kg
Ghee. :3 spoon
Oil. :4 spoon
Spices(cloves,cardomom,bay leaves,cumin seeds,cinnamon stick). : 2 -3 pieces
Onion. :3_4 sliced
Lemon juice : 2 spoons
Ginger garlic paste. : 2 spoon
Chillies. : 3
Chilly powder. :1 spoon
Turmeric powder. :1/2 spoon
Garam masala. :1/2 spoon
Curd :2 spoon
Mint & coriander. :1 spoon
raisins & cashew :1 spoon
Soak the rice for few minutes.marinate the chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste,lemon juice ,chillipowder turmeric powder garam masala powder and salt.Add curd and mix well.Add coriander and mint leaves. Keep it aside for half an hour.Now heat the water in a pan and add the spicescand salt into it.A dd some ghee and lime juice into it and allow it to boil .Then wash and drain the rice and add it in to the boiling water.when it is half cooked drain it and keep aside.ln the mean time heat the pan and pour some oil and ghee mix.Then fry the onions until golden brown(keep some aside) and add it into the chicken mix.fry the raisins and cashews in the same ghee and keep it aside.l n the remaining oil cook the chicken mix for 5 minutes.Now take a thick bottomed pan for dum.At first pour some ghee and add the cooked chicken,above that add half of the cooked rice and spread some garam masala coriander leaves and lime juice above that.Add the remaining rice over it.spread some fried onions cashewscand raisins above it.mix some saffron with hot milk and pour over it for giving nice colour.Then close the lid and cook for half an hour in very low flame.N ow the biriyani is ready
