Tasty Fish Pollichath

Fish(any big and fleshy): 3
Shallots: 1 cup
Onion:1
Tomato:1
Ginger: 1 medium piece
Garlic: 5 cloves
Green chillies: 3
Curry leaves: few
Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
Kashmiri chilli powder:1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Whole pepper: 1 teaspoon
Salt: to taste
Coconut oil: for frying
Banana leaves: as required

For marination of fish:

Red chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Kashmiri chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
Pepper powde: 1/2 tteaspoon
Lemon juice: 1/2 teaspoon
Salt: to taste
Coconut oil: 1/2 teaspoon

Wash  and clean the fishes.Make small gashes on them.Mix all the marinating ingredients and marinate the fishes.keep it aside for 2 hours.Then heat a pan and pour some coconut oil.fry the fishes on both sides.Into a grinder add garlic,ginger,curry leaves,pepper corns ,turmeric powder,green chillies,chilli powder and 1 teaspoon coconut oil.grind very well.Take the same oil in which the fish had fried.Add chopped onion and shallots with some salt sort well until light brown Now add the grinded mix into it.Sort well until the raw smell goes.Now add the chopped tomato and sort well until it gets mashed up.The masala is ready now.Take a banana leaf and spread some masala and place the fried fish over it.Again spread some masala over it.For garnishing,place a slice of tomato,green chilli and curry leaves over it.Then fold and tie the bananana leaf.Now heat a tawa and roast both sides for five minutes.So the tasty fish Pollichath is ready to serve now.Try this and leave your comments😘
