Kozhi Ada/Traditional Malabar Snack

Chicken(boneless): 1/2 kg
Onion: 2
Green chilli: 4
Turmeric powder: 1)2 teaspoon
Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
Pepper powder: 2 teaspoon
Garam masala powder: 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves: few
Ginger: 1 teaspoon
Garlic: 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves: few
All purpose flour: 1 cup
Ghee: 2 table spoon
Salt: as required
Oil: for frying
Clean and cut the chicken into small pieces.Mix the chicken with chilli powder,turmeric powder,1 teaspoon pepper powder,coriander powder and salt.keep for 1 hour.After that cook it very well.When it cools down,mince the chicken.Then heat a pan and add 2 table spoon oil.Add finely chopped onion and sort well.when it becomes light brown,add finely chopped garlic,ginger,chillies , coriander leaves and curry leaves.sort very well.Now add minced chicken along with garam masala powder and the remaining pepper powder.sort well until the masala become crispy and brown.Now switch off the flame.Meanwhile into a bowl,add all purpose flour,ghee and salt.mix well.knead nicely with required water to get a soft dough.keep it for half an hour.Now make balls from the dough.roll it as thin as possible.Make round shape small sheets from that.Fill each sheet with the chicken masala and fold gently.press the edges with a fork or your hands to get the kozhi Ada shape(as in the picture).Now heat a kadai and pour oil into it.when it becomes hot,drop each kozhi Ada into the oil and fry until crispy.so theTasty,hot and crispy kozhi Ada is ready now.serve as hot and enjoy.It is a traditional Malabar Snack.Must try and leave your comments.
