Authentic parippu vada

Chana dal: 1 cup
Onion: 1
Ginger: 1 medium piece
Green chillies: 5
Curry leaves: few
Salt: as required
Oil: for frying

Soak Chana dal for 2 hours.Then drain it.grind the Chana dal along with Onion,ginger,green chillies,curry leaves ,salt with very little water.Dont grind too much.There should be small pieces of the dal.The water shouldn't be increased as we cannot make the correct shape.Now take out the ground paste and make medium  sized balls and flatten a little with your hands.Make your hands wet to get perfect shape while flattening.Then fry in the hot oil until golden brown.so the tasty crispy parippu vada is ready now.serve along with tea.Try this and enjoy.
